Latrishka Thomas embarked on her journalism journey five years ago, driven by a spark of curiosity that quickly ignited into a fervent passion. Her first assignment—a coverage of a riot—was a transformative experience, revealing the power of storytelling to give a voice to the voiceless. At just 29, Latrishka is a proud first-generation college graduate, holding a BSc with honors in Sociology and Psychology. Instilled with a sense of self-sufficiency from an early age, Latrishka initially set her sights on becoming a psychologist. However, her path took an unexpected turn when an intriguing ad for a news reporter position caught her eye. Since then, she has climbed the ranks at Observer Media, evolving from a News Reporter to a Senior News Producer, where she specializes in legislative and judicial reporting.
