We're "Highfalutin' Mama" and "Mighty Mischka", just two ordinary weirdos in love with their small 45 collection and in need for a bigger one.
When this whole Covid-19 thing started, we finally found time for something that we always wanted to try one day: spin some 45's and talk some shit. No wait, we always did that. But starting a little podcast radio show was kind of interesting, especially since we were often frustrated trying to discover cool new radio input for our somewhat special taste. Most of what we found was either anonymous playlists with little to no actual DJ-talk, or we felt that our biggest musical interest was underrepresented.
The one show we've been listening to for many years set the standart for the only good radio format we could think of, so there was no way of doing anything new or different. It's done by a collector whose name includes a certain vinyl condition some of his and many of our records are in.
We are neither communication talents, affluent collectors or omniscient historians. Just a texan gal and a german guy living in Leipzig/Germany and loving 50's/60's music like rockabilly, popcorn, country, rhythm'n'blues, garage, ...particularily the minor key stuff. But hey, why don't you just start listening!
